How big is your lawn?

Type your address. We'll pull your property line and measure the grass inside it.

Property lines come from public records — all of North Carolina, Maryland, Vermont and most of New Hampshire, plus Kent, Ottawa, Allegan, Muskegon and Newaygo counties in Michigan and Washoe County in Nevada. Anywhere else you trace the lawn yourself, which measures just as accurately.

How to correct the shape

The buttons down the right of the map choose what you are editing. Only that thing responds to a touch, so correcting a lawn outline can no longer move the property line by accident.
Line edits the property boundary: tap a line to slide that whole edge out to the road, or a corner to move, add or delete it.
Layers, on the left of the map, switches between photographs of the same ground taken in different years and different light. Only the sources marked as measurable can be sent to the AI; the rest are there to look at, and detection quietly falls back to Mapbox for those. If shadows or leaf cover are hiding your lawn, try another picture and detect again.
Lawn edits the measured shape, with three tools: Points to drag corners, Add to paint lawn in, and Erase to rub out anything that is not lawn — a driveway the AI grabbed, a flower bed, a neighbour's grass. The outline redraws itself around what is left.
Add works on an empty map too, so you can paint a lawn from scratch instead of placing corners.
Tapping a line wins over tapping a corner, so extending stays the easy gesture — aim right at a dot when you want the point itself.
Move is the only mode where a whole shape can be dragged. Everywhere else shapes are locked, so a stray touch with a brush cannot slide your lawn across the map.
Trim or extend the edge pulls the detected outline in or pushes it out by up to three feet, all the way round. It re-reads the detection you already paid for, so it costs nothing and runs no new detection. Pulling in is the quickest way to shed thin slivers the AI ran along a driveway or a fence.
Undo is on the map as well as below it, since that is where you are looking when something goes wrong.
Delete selected removes a shape you don't mow.
Draw it myself adds another patch — areas add up.
Yellow dots are corners taken straight from the county map.
The AI finds grass inside your property line only — the neighbours' lawn is trimmed off automatically.

Count grass under trees Canopy hides lawn that is really there. Small gaps inside your lawn are counted as grass; big ones (a pool, a shed) are not. Show the raw AI mask (alignment check)
